History of the
Eastern Area
The legacy of the Philadelphia (PA) Chapter is the story of
The Links, Incorporated. It is also the story of the Eastern Area.
1949
What began as the Philadelphia Club in 1946, in the Eastern Area soon grew to an additional 13 clubs which became the Links, Incorporated in 1949.
1954
In 1954, The Links, Incorporated expanded into four geographic areas: The Eastern Area, Southern Area, Central Area, and the Western Area.
TODAY
The Eastern Area is comprised of 82 chapters in the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia, as well as in the District of Columbia, and the United Kingdom.
